Hunan Radar Life Detector formally passed national scientific and technological achievement appraisal

The expert appraisal committee headed by He Jishan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, identified the "Ultraviolet Ultra-Wideband Radar Life Detector" developed by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, which officially passed the national scientific and technological achievements appraisal.

In the face of major disasters, how to quickly and accurately find the vital signs buried in rubble, concrete, and other rubble, and to maximize the rescue of the lives of trapped people has always been one of the technical problems in disaster relief work. At the beginning of last year, the Fire Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security issued a research project focusing on "Ultraviolet Broadband Radar Life Detector", which was jointly developed by the Provincial Fire Corps and Hunan Huano Star Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. Aiming at some major technical flaws in the current audio, optical, infrared and other life detectors, researchers have overcome a series of key technologies and adopted the new system of ultra-wideband radar technology to achieve rapid search and accurate positioning of living bodies. The test results show that the device can effectively detect human body activity and heartbeat, breathing and other activities within 20 meters.

It is understood that this equipment passed the seismic simulation test of the National Earthquake Administration in April this year. Subsequently, in Yushu earthquake rescue mission, rescue personnel successfully used this equipment to detect and rescue many people. Experts believe that the equipment is technologically advanced in China.
